Description
Back on Track: a basic introduction for those learning to live with a spinal cord impairment 4th Edition
Introducing the new fourth edition of the Back on Track handbook! The handbook is a unique patient resource developed by the New Zealand Spinal Trust (NZST) in collaboration with the Burwood and Auckland Spinal Units. Back on Track is designed for patients recovering from a spinal cord impairment (SCI) as well as carers, whānau and friends. The hard cover spiral bound book has 172 pages of quality information and includes chapter tabs for easy turning for those with limited hand function.
The NZST believes that rehabilitation is a process of learning, not a medical process, and patients need access to high quality information right from day one. This engaging full colour publication is liberally dosed with stories and advice from past ‘graduates’ of spinal services in New Zealand and this mix of personal and professional knowledge and experience really brings the publication alive. Colour illustrations and infographics provide a visual description to better explain what having a spinal cord impairment is all about.
Please Note for overseas orders there is a fee of $40 for postage and packing. Email info@nzspinaltrust.org.nz for further information.
Back on Track is provided free to all new patients of Burwood and Auckland Spinal Units thanks to generous support from ACC, Rotary Club of Avonhead and Health New Zealand.
“Having the book in two sections will help people with SCI to see it as a journey. It’s not just about rehab but about learning to adapt to a new life”.
