Merry Christmas!
It’s been another huge year at the NZ Spinal Trust, and in collaboration with Spinal Support NZ our Community Peer & Whānau Support teams are now firmly established in communities across Aotearoa New Zealand.
Our Community Peer & Whānau Support team came together from across the country in October for training and there was a real sense of camaraderie. “It was so good to get 50 people in the room together as opposed to just another blimmin’ Zoom call. To be face-to-face with awesome people who are there to help others go through what they’ve been through, both wheelies and whānau. It was really inspiring and the get-together put fuel in our tank for doing the mahi that we’re doing. Our community really needs this!” says Andrew, our Peer Support Programme Manager.
We’re delighted to welcome our new partner Able Axcess (suppliers of access solutions) to our whānau. It was a pleasure to meet and mingle with the Able Axcess team at our recent staff Culture Club day, along with our current partners Permobil, Access Community Health and Coloplast.
We wish to thank all our partners and supporters for their generous support this year and we look forward to working with you in 2023.
Our office will be closing lunchtime Thursday 22nd December 2022 and reopening Monday 9th January 2023.
