NZ Spinal Trust Announces Chief Executive Resignation
The Board of Trustees of NZ Spinal Trust has announced that Chief Executive Hans Wouters has made the decision to step down from his role after almost 16 years with the organisation, including the past 10 years as CEO.
Throughout his time with the Trust, Hans has made an outstanding contribution to the organisation and the wider spinal community. His dedication, leadership and genuine commitment to improving the lives of people living with spinal cord injuries and conditions have helped shape the Trust and the services it provides today.
One of Hans’s most significant achievements has been his leadership and contribution throughout the recent amalgamation, bringing together two organisations with a shared purpose and creating a strong foundation for the future of NZ Spinal Trust.
Board Chair Rob Goddard acknowledged Hans’s contribution:
“Hans has given an extraordinary amount to the Trust and the spinal community over many years. His passion, commitment and the relationships he has built have made a lasting difference. We are particularly grateful for the leadership he has provided through the amalgamation and the important part he has played in bringing our people and services together.”
The Board extends its sincere appreciation to Hans for his many years of dedicated service and wishes him every success and happiness as he looks towards the next chapter of his life.
The Trust remains firmly committed to its purpose of supporting people living with spinal cord injuries and conditions, and to building on the strong foundations established over many years.
The Board will oversee a carefully managed leadership transition, ensuring continuity of services, strong relationships with funders and partners, and an ongoing focus on the people and communities the Trust serves.
